Give me a solar-powered car.

Gasoline prices are at P62 per liter. Can you imagine that? It seems that the prices have soared to about 150% (correct me if I’m wrong) in as little as two months! I have only been driving for one month but I can feel the toll of this energy crisis! Although I don’t personally pay for my own gasoline ’cause dad gives me a budget for it, my 500-peso budget seems to give me less than the liters I have purchased two or three days ago! Worse, I know I have to give up using my car to save money! Waaaaah! ~cry…..

And so, I’ve been thinking of alternatives. I am not even close to being a scientist but I’m nosy enough to hear stories of cars running on biofuel (not the commercialized biofuel available at gasoline stations!), even cars running on water! Alternative energy sources such as electricity have been used by Japan in powering their vehicles. But no, I’m not into biofuel, water, or electricity-powered cars. I’m for the solar-powered cars… I’ve searched the internet for these solar vehicles and on top of Google’s list is SINAG, the first Philippine Solar-Powered car! Wow! And it competed and won in the World Solar Challenge in Australia.. Can somebody give that car to me? Please? =)
