Naprey Almario, the man behind www.pwd-world.blogspot.com, celebrated his birthday with children from 3 orphanages in Davao City. Children from Balay Pasilungan, Padre Pio's Home for Children, and Providence Home of St. Joseph has graced the celebration and also showcased their talents during the event held at Balay Pasilungan last July 28, 2013.
The event started with a mass officiated by Fr. Long. After the mass, the children performed cheers to introduce the orphanage from which they come from. Then there was a talent competition. There was a lot of dancing and singing, children were also playing musical instruments and one wowed the crowd with his talent in painting.
I am proud and honored to have attended this event. I am happy that I witnessed how simple these children's happiness could be. This is a humbling experience for me. Thanks, Naprey, for the invitation!
